Researcher and Librarian
Edye Weissler holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New Paltz, SUNY, and a Master of Fine Arts from Hunter College, CUNY. She is responsible for the cataloging and maintenance of the gallery’s library, a division of the Kurt R. Schmeller Library, specializing in African art, pre-Columbian art, and Photography. Ms. Weissler also serves as editor of QCC Art Gallery Press. Previously, she was an assistant librarian at Christie’s Auction House, and the Librarian/Archivist at the Knoedler Art Gallery overseeing a historical archive obtained by the Getty Research Center. Ms. Weissler has successfully organized exhibitions at the Thomas Cole House, in Catskill, New York, and has also exhibited her artwork in group exhibitions.
