Eric is a full time professional artist; his artwork has been exhibited in National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, Art Revolution Taipei in Taiwan, Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth in Texas, Queens Museum, First Street Gallery in New York, New Britain Museum of American Arts, Mattatuck Museum, Housatonic Museum of Art, MoCA Westport, Silvermine Guild Gallery, New Canaan Arts Center, Bruce Kershner Gallery, Ridgefield Guild of Art in Connecticut, Bromfiled Gallery in Boston as well as many other venues and communities in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Taiwan. In September 2016, he was given Citation from New York State Assembly for his outstanding artwork about humanity.
Eric grew up in Taiwan. He said, “When I was a teenager, every time I felt discouraged, desperate or depressed, I turned to Beethoven’s music for encouragement and inspiration. And I want to do the same using my art !”
Prompted by the economic realty in Taiwan at the time, his life took a big turn. After obtaining degrees from National Taiwan University and New York University, he started a successful IT management career in Wall Street. Nevertheless, his desire of creating art grew stronger year after year. He committed to painting daily with any time he could find despite his extremely demanding corporate responsibilities. Two decades later, Eric became a full time artist.
In addition to his passionately creating arts that explore the significance of existences and manifest his empathy of pan-human loneliness, desperation, love, connections, and hope, he is also very active in organizations that help the connections among individual artists and between artists and communities.
