Santiago Garci, a leading painter from Pedro Muñoz, Ciudad Real, Spain has had more than 80 exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, in galleries and international fairs of contemporary art. One of Pedro Muñoz’s well-known residents, Garci is a self-taught painter, researcher and inventor of the artistic movement known as Emotivism. In 2017, The Europa Forum awarded him the gold medal for his life-long career as a painter.

Awards

August 1988. First prize, in the fifth annual Cultural Week, Pedro Muñoz (Ciudad Real).

August 1992. First prize in the first visual arts competition, Julian del Pozo, Pedro Muñoz.

August 2003. Selected for the international painting competition of Villarta (Cuenca).

2004. Recipient of the Title of Honor from the magazine Steps for the artist’s career in Tomelloso (Ciudad Real).

August 2005. Selected for the XXVIII National Painting Contest of Campo de Criptana (Ciudad Real).

March 2006. Diploma of Honor in the first Spring Salon for Tierras de Castilla organized by the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors.

July 2006. Prize for the top work related to wine in the fourth Napisa Prize for Quick Air Painting in Mota del Cuervo (Cuenca).

August 2006. Selected for the XXI International Painting Contest of Villarta (Cuenca).

May 2007. Fourth prize in the second painting competition of Our Lady of Good Childbirth, Pedro Muñoz.

August 2001. Selected for the XV International Painting Competition, Alcazar de San Juan (Royal City).
