The Gallery offers an internship program that assists with undergraduate research by providing a unique opportunity for individuals to develop practical experience in the art administration field. The participating individuals assist Gallery staff with documentation of the permanent collection and incoming donations. The Gallery has in-person as well as virtual opportunities available.
The internship program is a credited course held in conjunction with the Department of Art & Design and works closely with the students enrolled in the Gallery and Museum Studies program.
We also support local high school and students abroad through the internship program. Currently, the Gallery hosts student interns from Bayside High School, the Flushing International High School and John Adams High School. The Gallery also partners with the Cultural Homestay International program and hosts international student interns from China.
